Eid al-Adha

This day honors the act of sacrifice carried out by Ibrahim on the command of the One, where he willingly offered his own son as a sacrifice. However, in the act, God replaced his son with a lamb, hence signifying its importance.

This ritual is carried out every year by Muslims all around the world, where a part of the sacrifice is donated to the poor and needy, one-third is offered to the friends and relatives and the last is kept for the family. Birthday of ‘Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib
