Surya Grahan 2016 - Chandra Grahan 2016

There are going to be total four eclipses in 2016, out of which two are solar eclipses and remaining two are lunar eclipses. Surya grahan in India will be seen this year i.e. on March 9, 2016 (Wednesday) in India.

1. Total Solar Eclipse (Purna Surya Grahan)

Total solar eclipse which is the first eclipse of the year, can be seen on March 9, 2016 (Wednesday). Australia, Palau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan, China, Myanmar, Sri lanka, Indian ocean & North Pacific ocean, India, South Korea, Guinea

2. Penumbral Lunar Eclipse

The first total lunar eclipse in 2016, which is the second eclipse or first lunar eclipse of 2016, can be witnessed on March 23, 2016 (Wednesday). In India only ending is visible.

3. Annular Solar Eclipse (Kankan Surya Grahan)

Annular solar eclipse, which is the third eclipse of the year, can be seen on September 1, 2016 (Thursday). It can be witnessed from most of the Africa, South Pole, Madagascar, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Mozambique, Geban. There are two Chandra grahan in 2016 and both of them are penumbral.

4. Penumbral Lunar Eclipse

In 2016, partial lunar eclipse which is the fourth eclipse of 2016 or second lunar eclipse of 2016 can be seen on September 16-17, 2016 (Friday-Saturday). This lunar eclipse is visible in India.
