So, we all should know about our inner being. And for knowing our inner being we all need to enhance our interest towards an amazing subject Chinese Zodiac Astrology.

You can know about your behavior, character, personality, lifestyle, emotional makeup, and much more about our inner being with the valuable help of Chinese Zodiac Astrology. A system of predicting one's fate and destiny based on one's birthday, birth season, and birth hours called Zi Wei Dou is still used today in Chinese Zodiac Astrology. Using Chinese Astrology, a person's fortune can be determined by analyzing the position of major planets Sun, Moon, and Comets at the time of persons birth.

With the fundamentals of Traditional Astrology, Chinese Zodiac Astrology gives a gleam about ones horoscope. In Chinese Astrology, 12 animals are keys for analyzing horoscopes. These animals are read in this order -Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Money, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. All animals represent a cycle of calendar year. For instance, year 2012 is represented by animal Dragon, and thus this year is named as Dragon Year. By reading Chinese Zodiac Astrology and knowing your animal year you may apparently discover about your career, family relations, money status, social image, and future life.

It is conceived that the system of the twelve-year cycle of animal signs were built from observations of the orbit of Jupiter. Following the orbit of Jupiter around the sun, Chinese astronomers divided the celestial circle into 12 sections, and rounded it to 12 years.

Myths behind selecting animal signs in Chinese Zodiac Astrology

According to Chinese Astrology the order of the twelve signs was explored by Buddha. Buddha invited all of the animals in the kingdom together for a meeting, but only 12 animals attended. The first animal to get there was the garrulous Rat and thus was placed 1. The next was the Ox and was placed 2, and finally pig was placed in number 12. Buddha gave each animal a year of its own, gifting the nature and characteristics of each to those born in that animals year. And, thus this way Chinese people believe that the years represented by the animals affect the characters of people. Like Vedic and Western Astrology there are also twelve zodiac signs attached to Chinese Zodiac Astrology but are represented with animal year. For example, your zodiac sign is Aries and you were born in year 1988, in Chinese zodiac astrology you will be known as Aries Dragon, and will posses qualities shown by Dragons.

However, Chinese calendar year differs to western calendar year. In Chinese calendar year, New Year begins in late of January or early of February month, not begins on 1st of January like western calendar.
