IPL 2020 is a professional T-20 cricket format established since 2007 consisting of some of the best cricketers from around the world competing against each other. As per the latest updates, the IPL 13 or IPL 2020 is scheduled to begin from 19 September in United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the final match being scheduled on 10 November. These are the most tentative dates being rolled out as of now, although BCCI is yet to chalk out the final details regarding IPL Schedule and Timings.

IPL 13 was originally scheduled to begin on 29 March but postponed till further notice due to the ongoing pandemic caused by Coronavirus outbreak. This latest update has brought a sense of enthusiasm and positivity among sports enthusiasts, however, BCCI is maintaining every safety protocol regarding quarantine.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is a renowned Twenty20 cricket league organized during March, April or May on a yearly basis. Around eight teams representing different cities participate in this worldwide event with national and international cricket players categorized in different teams. All of these events are held under the supervision and management of the Board of Control for Cricket in India or the BCCI.

This tournament is scheduled to follow the Double Round-robin and Knockout format, and hosted by United Arab Emirates. However, RCB or Royal Challengers Bangalore earned appreciation from the world for appointing women support staff.

IPL 2020 Schedule

The information about the IPL Schedule has been out. The IPL Matches were all set to begin from 29 March and last till 24 May 2020, but due to CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK all over the world, it was postponed. However, as per the latest updates, IPL 13 is currently scheduled to be held on September 19 till November 10 at the United Arab Emirates. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given out the current tentative details and yet to finalise the IPL Schedule, Match Timings, and much more.

Recently, the Indian Premier League Governing Council decided on the venues at the United Arab Emirates. Three major grounds will host the IPL 2020 Matches, i.e. Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium after subjecting to necessary codes and clearance.

As per the recent IPL Schedule update, the first match is scheduled to be held on 19 September 2020. This will be a 53-day tournament, where the 10-afternoon matches will be played starting from 15:30 IST/03:30 PM IST and evening matches at 19:30 IST/07:30 PM IST. However, all Standard Operating Procedures for a safe tournament are expected to be followed after they are finalised.

Numerous records have been made and broken in this international tournament. These records allow the old as well as new players to set a new target and work hard towards it to achieve them.   • Orange Cap: This cap is awarded to the player who has scored the highest run during the IPL season. As of now, David Warner of Sunrisers Hyderabad holds this title with 692 runs in 12 matches played.
  • Purple Cap: The Purple Cap is awarded to the player who has scored the most wickets in a season. Currently, Imran Tahir of Chennai Super Kings holds this position with 26 wickets of 17 matches.
  • Maximum Sixes Award: Andre Russell from Kolkata Knight Riders holds this position of hitting most sixes in an IPL tournament. He has hit 52 sixes in 14 matches.
  • Emerging Player Of The Year: This award is given to the best younger player who performed exceptionally well in the IPL season. As of now, Shubman Gill from Kolkata Knight Riders is the entitled Emerging Player of the last season.

IPL 2020 Venues

Before the pandemic, IPL Season 13 had promised major experience and world-class cricket to its viewers all around the world. Even the designated venues in India where the matches were about to be held offer brilliant architectural structure. Some of the highly advanced metropolises of India were hosting the match this year. The stadiums incorporate spacious ground and seats for players, staff and viewers to play and supervise well.

However, in lieu of the current situation regarding world pandemic, IPL 2020 has been now scheduled to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates instead of India. Rules regarding quarantine will be followed as required, and IPL 2020 Team members will follow every health protocol as needed. Three major stadiums hosting this year IPL 2020 Tournament are:
